WB4309 Hard Red Winter Wheat

Made to Thrive In The North

WB4309, a Hard Red Winter Wheat variety, offers growers a medium-early-maturing variety with excellent yield potential. With very good test weight and milling and baking quality, WB4309 also brings a strong disease resistance package including good Fusarium Head Blight (Scab) resistance and very good Yellow (Stripe) Rust resistance, making it broadly adapted across the region.

Key Strengths

WB4309 Hard Red Winter Wheat offers excellent yield potential; broad adaptability; very good grain quality; and an overall good disease resistance package.

It has an above average combination of yield and protein that will be our top-yielding winter wheat. In terms of protein, it has shown that it will be about a half point above where growers need it to be. It brings something to our winter wheat portfolio that is going really well in spring wheat but not winter wheat, the combination of yield and protein
