Granite is a hard red spring wheat bred for high protein and high input production systems. Granite produces a hard main stem and two strong tillers. The three stems that it produces are very sturdy and have heads that are uniform, highly fertile, and densely packed with seed. Granite is rated moderately susceptible to leaf rust and scab, moderately resistant to foliar disease and resistant to stem rust. Granite is a free threshing variety with good shatter resistance.

Mohler is a soft white winter wheat for the Palouse region of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. Mohler is a high yielding variety adapted to a wide range of growing conditions. This also has good winter hardiness and is several days earlier than Madsen. Mohler has resistance to strawbreaker foot rot and is resistant to leaf and stripe rust. This variety thrashes very clean, and the straw breaks down more easily than Madsen.
