Granite is a hard red spring wheat bred for high protein and high input production systems. Granite produces a hard main stem and two strong tillers. The three stems that it produces are very sturdy and have heads that are uniform, highly fertile, and densely packed with seed. Granite is rated moderately susceptible to leaf rust and scab, moderately resistant to foliar disease and resistant to stem rust. Granite is a free threshing variety with good shatter resistance.

CDC Falcon is high yielding, winter hardy, semi-dwarf, hard red winter wheat. CDC Falcon has excellent winter hardiness for improved spring recovery and ground cover. CDC Falcon provides excellent potential for irrigated and intensive management programs and performs well under dryland production systems. The variety also possesses short stiff straw for zero or minimum tillage systems. CDC Falcon also has good stem and leaf rust resistance.

Trooper is a semi-dwarf HRSW variety, bred for high yield, earliness and stability. It is an excellent high yielding companion for the Granite wheat in high input production systems. It heads earlier than Granite , has better general disease resistance, high test weight, moderate protein levels, and very good standability. Trooper is a free threshing variety with good shatter resistance.

MT1159CL is the first Clearfield hard red winter wheat variety bred for the Montana wheat grower. MT1159CL has average yield, acceptable winter hardiness and industry accepted quality characteristics. The Clearfield Production System for wheat enables growers to control several hard to control weeds, including jointed goatgrass, persian darnel, feral rye, wild oats, downy brome, and many other grassy and broadleaf weeds.

Bigg Red is a very high yielding HRSW with very good scab resistance. It has a moderate to high tillering habit and produces extremely high test weight seed with medium levels of protein. Bigg Red is a medium tall variety, 1 to 2 inches taller than 2375 but slightly better standability. It is medium maturity, 1-3 days later to head than 2375.

Alzada is a WestBred Durum variety that produces competitive yields combined with very high quality grain when grown in northern durum areas. Alzada has excellent straw strength, good tolerance to sawfly and a good foliar disease package. Trial data show that Alzada produces high test weight and protein when grown with good farming practices. Quality tests have demonstrated that Alzada scores well for semolina color and gluten strength.

Stockford is a two rowed hooded hay barley that is well adapted for a wide variety of growing conditions and climates. Stockford is an early maturing variety that produces a high yielding, high quality and uniform hay crop. Stockford has a fine stem which aids in feeding and digestibility. Forage trials to date indicated that Stockford produces lower nitrate levels than other hay barleys growing under the same conditions.
